收藏资源简介:
This is the ReadMe file corresponding to the dataset of the study entitled:"The seismic cycle of deep faults: earthquakes, fault creep and ductile deformation"By Meyer G.G., Noël C., Blanco C. & Violay M. This file was last edited in July 2026 This ReadMe file describes the data repository and supplementary files accompanying the above publication. For any further queries, please contact gabriel.meyer@mn.uio.no or corentin.noel@epfl.ch *** Mechanical data ***For each experiment, a .txt file contains the mechanical data. The name of the file is the name of the experiment as follows:- MC1: Experiment on thermally treated sample- MC2: Experiment on not treated sample- MC3: Experiment on thermally treated sample with a strain gauge ribbon For MC1 and MC2, .txt file contains:- Column 1: Time (s)- Column 2: Differential stress (corrected) (MPa)- Column 3: Confining pressure (MPa)- Column 4: Axial displacement (mm)- Column 5: Axial strain LVDT- Column 6: Axial strain SG- Column 7: Shear stress (MPa)- Column 8: Normal stress (MPa) For MC3, .txt file contains:- Column 1: Time (s)- Column 2: Differential stress (corrected) (MPa)- Column 3: Confining pressure (MPa)- Column 4: Axial displacement (mm)- Column 5: Axial strain LVDT- Column 6: Axial strain SG (average)- Column 7: Axial strain SG1 (7 mm)- Column 8: Axial strain SG2 (8 mm)- Column 9: Axial strain SG3 (9 mm)- Column 10: Axial strain SG4 (10 mm)- Column 11: Axial strain SG5 (11 mm)- Column 12: Shear stress (MPa)- Column 13: Normal stress (MPa) *** strength and post-yield partitioning ***The file "Data_post-yield_partitioning.xlsx" contains 3 sheets (one per experiment) with the picked strength (Qy and Qf, with their maximum and minimum values) as well as the bulk post-yield contribution. *** Strain contribution during cycle ***The file "Strain_contibution_seismic_cycle.xlsx" contains the strain contribution (total cycle strain, Interseismic elastic strain, Interseismic bulk inelastic, Interseimic fault) of each stress drop for the MC1 experiment. *** Stress drop ***The file "Stress_drop_event" contains the stress drop data (time, Q, shear stress and normal stress at the onset and end of stress drop) for each event for the MC1 experiment.
