Survey of Ice Arena Managers

To gather expert insights on optimal ice arena conditions, we distributed a questionnaire to 55 North American ice arena management professionals. These responses provide valuable data on their perspectives of ideal ice surface temperature, humidity, and ice thickness. Of the experts, 35 maintained arenas for hockey, 33 for figure skating and 25 for curling, with many experts managing more than one sport. 80% of the respondents indicated they received specialized training or certifications related to ice quality management.
