Total DNA was extracted from the rhizosphere soil using the E.Z.N.A. Soil DNA Kit (Omega Bio-Tek, USA) at the end of study week 4. DNA concentrations were measured using a microfluorometer (TBS-380, Turner Biosystems, USA). Metagenomic sequencing using NovaSeq Reagent Kits (Illumina, USA) was performed on an Illumina NovaSeq platform by Majorbio Bio-Pharm Technology Co., Ltd (Shanghai, China).
