The Mudgee Cemeteries Act, 1963, vested the control of three disused cemeteries within the Municipality in the Mudgee Municipal Council. The Act dedicated the cemeteries as public parks and required the Council to compile a Register of names and other relevant information in respect of persons buried there. The cemeteries referred to were the Church of England, Roman Catholic and Presbyterian and Methodist cemeteries. This register records name, where buried, date of death, age at death, remarks.
