Gut microbiome of nursing Philippine native swine

The main goal of this study is to determine the microbial diversity in the ileum of nursing Philippine native swine at 7-, 14-, 21, and 28-day-old. The results of this study are the first known comprehensive report on the early microbial colonization and succession pattern in the gut of the Philippine native swine, which can be used as basis in developing effective and safe management strategies for low-cost/organic farming of PNS.
