Fastq files from Illumina MiSeq 250bp single end sequencing of the V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene using primers 515F and barcoded 806R. Sample DNA and RNA were collected from conjunctival swabs of wild-caught captive house finches in 2019 from birds originating in Montgomery County and Radford, Virginia. Samples were collected as part of a study identifying the living portion of the ocular microbiome and changes in communities after antibiotic perturbation.
