Green Bond towards Sustainability

11% of green bonds that have been issued so far are related to clean water and sanitation (SDG 6). Water security and climate change are intricately linked, as is becoming increasingly clear. Although the market for green bonds has broadened over the past few years, clean energy (SDG7) still accounts for 40% of the market. Low-carbon transportation accounts for 15% of the market for green bonds, with low-carbon buildings making for 24% of it.
