This heat risk layer was calculated using tree canopy coverage from classified 2023 NAIP imagery and enriched variables: 2024 population age 0–4, 2024 households with central air conditioning, 2022 households with income below the poverty level, and 2022 homeowners without a vehicle (ACS 5-Year).
