U.S. outcomes of social media using AI to find fake information 2021, by party ID

According to an online survey conducted in November 2021 in the United States, 86 percent of Republican, or leaning Republican respondents reported considering that political viewpoints were definitely or probably being censored on social media, due to digital companies using algorithms to detect false information. Overall, 58 percent of Democrats, or leaning Democratic respondents, thought the same. Around a quarter of Democratic respondents agreed that the use of false-information detecting computer programs was making it easier to find trustworthy information.
