The chromosome-level genome assembly of <i>Procambarus clarkii</i>

The red swamp crayfish Procambarus clarkii (Girard, 1852), native to the southern United States and northern Mexico, has attracted considerable research attention owing to its importance in aquaculture, as well as its significant ecological impact as an invasive species. Here, we present a chromosome-scale genome assembly for P. clarkii, generated using a combination of Illumina, PacBio and Hi-C sequencing. To address these key questions related to its invasion success, we performed detailed analyses of the genome organization and the evolution of gene families implicated in feeding, detoxification and immunity.

红沼泽螯虾（Procambarus clarkii，Girard, 1852）原产于美国南部及墨西哥北部，因其在水产养殖中的重要价值，以及作为入侵物种所产生的显著生态影响，而受到学界广泛关注。本研究整合Illumina、PacBio及Hi-C测序技术，完成了该物种的染色体级基因组组装。为解答与该物种入侵成功相关的核心科学问题，本研究对其基因组组织结构以及与摄食、解毒和免疫相关的基因家族演化进行了深入分析。
