The report concerns the results of an excavation in the medieval city centre of Dordrecht, Holland. At the Voorstraat 244 the remains of an early 14th century house were excavated. Between 1396 and 1613 this house was owned by the Dutch earls and used as a tavern when they visited Dordrecht. In everyday live this fief was used as a house by various members of the political elite of the medieval city. The foundations of the house and several corresponding cesspits were found and documented.
