We have used Affymetrix microarray-driven gene profiling to comprehensively describe the expression of mRNAs in the nucleus tractus solitarii (NTS) in the adult male spontaneously hypertensive rat (SHR) as compared to its normotensive parental Wistar-Kyoto (WKY) strain.
