In this study, we characterized the function of dachb, the zebrafish homologue of human DACH1, in developing zebrafish embryos. Morpholino (MO) -mediated knock-down of dachb resulted in impaired islet cell development, with a significant decrease in both the Ã-cell and islet cell numbers.
