In this study, we employed 16S amplicon sequencing to assess detail taxonomic changes in bacterial community as a result of filed scale treatment using tillage system and digestate amendment in two different sites across southern Italy. The starting objectives of this research were as follows (i) to investigate the immediate vs short-term response of soil bacteria to tillage system and digestate amendment (ii) to access which part of community is metabolically active at the time of treatment (iii) to monitor whether the effect is due to input of digestate derived organic matter or to digestate born-microorganisms (iv) to enlighten the role of soil type and soil properties in shaping community.
