We investigated the impact of SMAD2 linker phosphorylation (pSMAD2L) on gene expression in A549 cells. Data has been published in the British Journal of Cancer under the title “SMAD2 linker phosphorylation influences overall survival, proliferation, TGFβ1-dependent gene expression, and pluripotency-related proteins in NSCLC”. We generated A549 cells constitutively lacking pSMAD2L (A549Lsub) by substituting three serine residues to alanine within the linker domain of SMAD2 (S245A/S250A/S255A). For comparison, wild-type and A549Lsub cells were harvested and analyzed after 48 hours. Three individual experiments were performed.
