Raw Data of the White Papers on Human Rights in China and the Records and Reports on Human Rights Violations in the United States

The study built two collections of Chinese government documents: ten White Papers on Human Rights in China (2016–2021; about 125,670 characters) and ten Reports on Human Rights Violations in the United States (2017–2024; about 90,053 characters). Using computer-assisted text analysis and a metaphor identification method, we extracted metaphorical surface frames, non-metaphorical surface frames, and inferred deep frames based on their co-occurrence patterns across the corpora.
