资源简介：
Glacier length is not only a basic property in glacier inventory, but also an important parameter reflecting glacier geometry and glacier change. Based on Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) and Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) images from 1998 to 2003, the outline of individual glacier was firstly interpreted by adopting the method in the Second China Glacier Inventory. Combined with ASTER GEDM data, the dataset of glacier length for 2000 in China (V1.0) was built by using the method of glacier centerline. This dataset reflects the basic length information of glaciers with a total number of 48126 in China around 2000. The vectorized data of longest glacier centerline provided in this dataset can also be used as the basic data for studies on glacier change, glacier ice storage assessment, glacier dynamic model construction, etc.
