Phyllosphere and Rhizosphere 16S Community Analysis. plant metagenome

The purpose of this study is to describe the bacterial community associated with Arabidopsis thaliana leaves and roots. Bacterial communities associated with the phyllosphere and rhizosphere of Arabidopsis thaliana were analyzed by PCR amplification of the 16S rDNA gene and 454 sequencing. Arabidopsis roots and leaves were harvested at 4 different sites. DNA was extracted from the roots and the leaves and amplified with 16S primers.
