Lake Istokpoga Littoral Zone Vegetation Marsh (2009)

<div style='text-align:Left;'><div><div><p style='margin:0 0 11 0;'><span>This polygon feature class identifies the extent and type of llittoral vegetation for Lake Istokpoga mapped by SFWMD scientists from April 2009 aerial photography. A grid based approach was used to identify the dominant vegetation type within each 25 sq meter area within the lake. The Vegetation communities were mapped using digital aerial imagery acquired from a Leica ADS40 camera in April of 2009 at a scale of 1 foot pixel resolution. Vegetation species and communities were groundtruthed. A combination of automated image classification and manual photointerpretation were used to classify emergent and floating vegetation communities in accordance with the Florida Land Use, Cover and Forms Classification System (FLUCCS).</span></p><p><span /></p></div></div></div>
