Controls on spatiotemporal heterogeneity and evolutions of debris flows along a traffic corridor affected by the strong Wenchuan earthquake

The 2008 Wenchuan earthquake produced numerous loose materials with seriously impact on the debris flow within the affected region, notably impeding the traffic safety transport and local economic recovery. Given its extended duration of earthquake aftermath and its significance as a traffic corridor, Wenchuan County, was chosen as the primary study area for examining the evolution of spatiotemporal heterogeneity and determinants of post-earthquake debris flows. 166 debris flow events across 69 catchments in this region from 2008 to 2019 were compiled.
