Madagascar: Preserving a blueprint of Asteracaeae hyperendemism in a biodiversity hotspot

Madagascar is one of the world's "hottest" hotspots with a diverse and endemic biota that is increasingly threatened by habitat destruction. Here we submit the 4 plant barcodes matK, rbcL, psbA-trnH, and ITS2 obtained for preservation and taxonomic study from endemic species from the Compositae (Asteraceae) and other families that resulted from collecting trips for this project.
