Nitrogen fertilizer is an important factor to control nitrous oxide (N2O) emission from soils contributing to greenhouse effect, and act through microbial activity. Microbiota produce N2O mainly through denitrification process in soils, active denitrifier components may affect N2O emission, while the mechanism remains elusive. In this study, we explore the denitrifying gas kinetics, denitrifying functional genes (narG, nirS, nirK and nosZ) expression, active microbial and denitrifying community in traditional fertilization soil (CNS) and reduced fertilization soil (RNS) from a vegetable greenhouse pilot study.
