Wet and Dry Atmospheric Nitrogen Deposition over Eastern China

This dataset provides event-based wet- and dry-deposition measurements of atmospheric nitrogen across four monitoring sites (BJ, HF, GIG, and NS) in China from April 2023 to March 2024. It includes deposition fluxes (kg-N ha⁻¹) and corresponding concentrations (mg L⁻¹) of water-soluble organic nitrogen (WSON), water-insoluble organic nitrogen (WION), and inorganic nitrogen species (NH4⁺-N, NO3⁻-N, and NO2⁻-N), along with derived metrics such as inorganic nitrogen (IN), organic nitrogen (ON), and total nitrogen (TN). Wet-deposition records additionally contain precipitation amounts (mm) and auxiliary ionic species (e.g., K⁺, Ca²⁺, and SO4²⁻) for each sampling event. The dataset is organized into two Excel workbooks—Wet _N_Deposition.xlsx and Dry _N_Deposition.xlsx—each containing four worksheets corresponding to the four sites. A companion Python script is provided to calculate monthly volume-weighted mean (VWM) concentrations using precipitation as weights and to generate a complete monthly series for 2023-04 to 2024-03.
