Effective tissue regeneration requires cells to perceive the surrounding context and make internal state adaptations that enable context-dependent fate changes in time and space, but the mechanisms underlying this complex process remain unclear. Here, transcriptom sequencing was used for study neuroendocrine control of planarian regeneration. Examine gene expression profiles of regenerated asexual planarian fragments after amputation at six time points (0h, 12h, 1.5d, 3d, 5d 10d). Schmidtea mediterranea include both asexual and sexual types. Our experiments used asexual Schmidtea mediterranea (strain CIW4) animals, and sequencing data were matched using transcriptome (GSE72389_smed_20140614.fa.gz).
