The present invention relates to lead-acid battery formulations containing discrete carbon nanotubes， Compositions of lead-acid battery construction comprises discrete carbon nanotubes having an aspect ratio of 10 to 500， and an oxidation level from 1 wt% to 15wt%.for improved performance lead acid batteries. The composition of present invention reduces impedance in leadacid batteries that can avoid overvoltage requirements for charging as well as is lasting conducting additive for cathode. Further， the present invention discloses a method to form a lead-acid battery with discrete carbon nanotubes. Compositions of discrete carbon nanotubes for improved performance lead acid batteries. Further disclosed is a method to form a lead-acid battery with discrete carbon nanotubes.
