Pseudomonas aeruginosa sequence data from the ancestor and evolved isolates. The project investigated if combinatorial signaling could overcome the metabolic incentives for cooperation and demonstrate novel cheating strategies. Bacteria were allowed to evolve in a media which inhibited the emergence of lasR cheats.
