Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAP) and Tourism Actions Dataset of Metropolitan Municipalities in Türkiye

This dataset compiles the official Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAP) of selected metropolitan municipalities in Türkiye, along with a dedicated document mapping the institutional climate change actions related to the tourism sector. The dataset includes the following institutional documents: Official SECAP reports of Antalya, Erzurum, Eskişehir, İzmir, Konya, Mersin, Muğla, and Van metropolitan municipalities. A comprehensive compilation documenting and listing climate change actions related to tourism within these metropolitan strategies. Purpose of the Dataset: This repository aims to provide a centralized qualitative resource for researchers, urban planners, and policymakers working on local climate governance, urban resilience, and sustainable tourism policy. By bringing these strategic municipal documents together, it facilitates comparative analysis on how climate action plans incorporate sectoral adaptation and mitigation needs in major urban and tourism destinations in Türkiye.
