The strain JSM 1682029 was a moderately haolophilic, sporulating, Gram staining positive rod, isolated from a non-saline soil sample. To accurately determine the phylogenetic position, the evolutionary relationship of relative strains was primarily analysed based on 16S rRNA gene sequences, and its exact systematic position was investigated by comparative genomics analysis based on whole-genome sequences, including comparisons of GC content, average nucleotide identity (ANI), and digital DNA to DNA hybridization (dDDH) values, as well as phylogenomic analysis. To elucidate the secondary metabolic potential of strain JSM 1682029, the rapid genome wide identification, annotation and analysis of secondary metabolite biosynthesis gene clusters in the genome were performed by means of the antiSMASH online server.
