Colour-coded cues in a traditional marble game improve motor control in primary school pupils: dataset and analysis code
收藏资源简介:
Data and analysis code behind the study of colour-coded cues in a traditional marble game in primary school pupils. Fifty-eight pupils aged 11 to 12, in two intact classes at one public primary school in Mohammedia, Tunisia, followed twelve marble-game sessions of fifty minutes across six weeks, between March and May 2025. One class played with transparent marbles. The other played with blue, red and green marbles tied to the instructions. Nothing else differed between the two conditions. The deposit holds four files. A pupil-level file carries the three motor outcomes for all 58 pupils, with no name, no date of birth and no other identifier. A second file carries the thirteen cognitive measures as group means and standard deviations, which is the only level at which they were ever recorded. The analysis script contains the observation grids and reproduces every number in Table 1 of the article. The README documents each variable, and states which variables from the original workbook were left out and why. The ethics committee of the High Institute of Sport and Physical Education of El Kef, University of Jendouba, approved the study in December 2024 under reference ISSEPK-0084/2024. Parents gave written consent and pupils gave assent.
