Sexting Practices and Timing in Honduran Adults: Cross-Sectional Survey Dataset

This dataset contains cross-sectional survey data on sexting practices among adults in Honduras. Data were collected between September and November 2025 as part of a nationwide observational study using a self-administered questionnaire administered both online and in community-based settings. The final analytical sample includes 20,820 adults aged 18 years and older who provided complete and valid information on sexting experience following data cleaning and quality control procedures.
The dataset includes variables on sex, age group, marital status, sexting experience (yes/no), relational context of sexting (partner, friends, or unknown persons), and age at first sexting experience. Information on the age of first sexting and the recipient of sexting content is available only for participants who reported having engaged in sexting. Anonymous unique identifiers are included to support reproducibility and secondary analyses.
This dataset allows for the examination of the prevalence, timing, and relational context of sexting across adulthood, as well as analyses stratified by sex and age group. The data are suitable for research on digital sexual practices, gender differences, life course perspectives on sexual behavior, and culturally situated analyses of technology-mediated intimacy in Latin American populations.
