VGLL1 KO in colon cancer cells primary culture clone E3, clone 22

In order to explore the potential role of VGLL1 in metastasis we knocked it out using CRISPR. Here we performed an RNAseq of the mutated cells and the wt cells to have an overview of the transcriptome regulation of cells without VGLL1 protein. Overall design: Total RNA from each culture (control wt and KO) were extracted using TRIzol Reagent (Ambion) following the manufacturer's protocol. Each condition was independently processed in triplicates and the libraries were prepared using Illimina TruSeq protocols. The samples were sequenced on a HiSeq Illumina 2500 machine with 50bp reads followed by standard analyses.
