Natural Regeneration of Silver Fir (Abies alba Mill) in Mountain Forests Across Europe (Poland, Germany, Italy).

This dataset presents information on the natural regeneration of silver fir (Abies alba Mill.) in structurally diverse mountain forests across Poland, Germany, and Italy. It includes data on multiple aspects of regeneration, such as species-specific densities per hectare (silver fir (Abies alba Mill.), European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.), hornbeam (Carpinus betulus L.), and Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.)), as well as the density of silver fir seedlings and saplings across different developmental stages. In addition, selected stand characteristics are provided, including the normalized Shannon diversity index based on 4 m height classes at the site level and total stand basal area.
