The genomic data of Bacillus methylotrophicus K68 belonging to the family Bacillaceae of the phylum Firmicutes, were obtained using the Miseq platform. The draft genome of Bacillus methylotrophicus K68 contains 3,959,348 bp. Detailed genome analyses and comparative studies with other Bacillus genomes will give further information and insight into the metabolism of Bacillus species.
