The UTIL dataset was developed by the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies (UTIAS), focusing on ultra-wideband time difference of arrival (UWB TDOA) indoor positioning technology. This dataset consists of two components: the UWB TDOA identification dataset and the flight dataset. The identification dataset is intended to evaluate the performance of UWB TDOA measurements under line-of-sight (LOS) and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) conditions, covering low-level UWB signal information such as signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and power difference values. The flight dataset collected multimodal data including UWB TDOA, inertial measurement unit (IMU), optical flow and more via a custom quadrotor platform during approximately 150 minutes of actual flights in various indoor environments, which is used for 3D robotic pose estimation. This dataset is suitable for researchers interested in UWB TDOA positioning technology, and can be employed to analyze and optimize positioning algorithms in complex indoor environments.
