The ACCESS study is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, controlled Phase II clinical trial designed to rigorously evaluate the efficacy and safety of CTLA4Ig (abatacept) in combination with cyclophosphamide, compared to cyclophosphamide alone, for the treatment of lupus nephritis in individuals diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
