Herein, a loosely stacked functionalized flash graphene (FFG) membrane with turbostratically arranged sheets was elaborately constructed with the aid of flash Joule heating (FJH) technology, forming interconnected water transport channels. Meanwhile, the misaligned nanopores within the sheets and the interlayer spacing jointly formed numerous thin S-channels, effectively shortening the water transport pathways, thereby achieving significantly enhanced water permeance (~ 9724 L m–2 h–1 bar–1) while maintaining high selectivity (>99.9%). This study broadens the possibilities for synthesizing and applying advanced functional membranes, contributing to sustainable development strategies.
