Mycobiome of mock communities and the human lung.

Invasive fungal infections are an increasingly important cause of human morbidity and mortality. Our goal was to use an amplicon next generation sequencing assay with demonstrated good recapitulation of mock communities to describe the fungal microbiome (mycobiome) of the lung during fungal infection.
