Satellite monitoring of grey wolves and black bears to study space use and habitat selection of migratory caribou predators. Predators may play a key role in determining the population dynamics of migratory caribou whose seasonal distribution has varied greatly over the last 15 years (Couturier 2007). There is little information to explain this variation notably the importance of density-dependent effects of predation on migratory caribou.
