To investigate whether the ratio of electron acceptor (ED) acetic acid to butyric acid affects the chain elongation induced by mixed fermentation. There was no significant difference between different electron acceptor ratios. Functional enzyme analysis showed that the FAB pathway was stimulated by high butyric acid ratio.
