Non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) encompass all mycobacteria except the M. tuberculosis complex, M. leprae and M. lepromatosis. Up to date there are approx. 200 NTM-species described. However, whole genome sequencing leads to the discovery of novel species continously. This study aims to describe novel NTM-species of clinical and public health relevance.
