Replication Data for: Comparison of high dose amlodipine with combination of low dose amlodipine and valsartan for control of hypertension

This study compared high dose amlodipine with combination of low dose amlodipine and valsartan for control of hypertension. Being adequately powered to pick up differences, it demonstrated the superior systolic blood pressure reduction with the latter. However, reduction in diastolic blood pressure reduction and incidence of side effects were similar in the two groups.
