Dust Intensity Dataset

The dataset contains hourly dust intensity classification maps for the spring seasons (March–May) from 2019 to 2023, with a spatial resolution of 2 km. Each GeoTIFF file corresponds to a specific observation time and covers the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Each pixel value in the TIFF file represents one of four dust intensity levels, which are derived from visibility and wind speed observations at meteorological stations and correspond to the following categories: 0 – Dust-free (DF) 1 – Floating Dust / Blowing Sand (FD/BS) 2 – Sand Storm (SS) 3 – Extremely or Severe Severe Sand Storm (ESSS/SSS)
