资源简介:
The subfamily Scelionidae - formerly a seperate family which has been sunken recently into a subfamily of Platygastridae - is a large group of over 3000 species of parasitoid wasps in about 160 genera. Most are small, between 0.5 and 10 mm and are commonly black with sculptured features. The antennae of adults are characteristically elbowed and have 9-10 flagellum. The vast majority are idiobionts attacking the eggs of other insects and spiders, and some are important bio-control agents. The group is diverse, however, and some its members demonstrate unique morphology or behaviors including winglessness or the parasitism of aquatic insect eggs. Please help the UHIM transcribe our collection of wasps from this large parasitoid subfamily. The total number of tasks for this dataset is: 574, number transcribed is 574 and number validated is 0. This data resource is harvested periodically into the main occurrence index.
