Human Oral Keratinocyte Responses to T. denticola infection

The purpose of this study was to determine, at a global level, the transcriptomic responses of human gingival keratinocytes to T. denticola infection to better understand the disruption of normal barrier immunity that leads to the development of periodontal disease. Here, human immortalized gingival keratinocyte (HIGK) cells were infected with T. denticola and RNAseq was performed to compared transcriptome responses of T. denticola infected cell to uninfected HIGK cells.
