St. Paul public park canopy throughfall and foliage chemistry, 2022-2024

Throughfall is the precipitation that passes through the canopy before reaching the surface, washing nutrients/pollutants into stormwater systems. This dataset quantifies the nutrient inputs from throughfall and foliage collections from urban trees and storm drains at five St. Paul public parks and recreation centers. Throughfall and foliar collections are analyzed for nutrients such as total nitrogen and phosphorus. Collections are taken on a weekly basis throughout the growing season when precipitation and/or throughfall are present.
