Gene expression in islets from control (WT) or transgenic (MYC) animals

We report changes in gene expression in mouse islets that express c-MYC in pancreatic beta cells as compared to control cells that lack such ectopic expression. The goal of the study is to identify the MYC-dependent changes that occur in beta cells that affect cellular fate and function. 2 WT and 4 MYC samples were processed for RNA-seq by using KAPA kits for library preparation after RNA integrity was confirmed. Sequencing was carried out on the Illumina platform.
