This series contains images created by the Geological Survey of New South Wales (GSNSW) agency in their role as government surveyors. Many of the subject material refers to mining locations across the state, as well as other extractive activities such as drilling.The collection is the photographic material referred to in the series NRS-23261 Index to the Geological Survey NSW photographic collection.It is sorted by photograph number and/or a geographic location. Each folder has a corresponding photograph number range and/or geographic area description that will match the Index cards.
