This dataset contains the complete processed data and analysis scripts required to replicate the findings of the study "E-bikes enhance climate resilient urban mobility through heat adaptation as revealed by mediation analysis," published in Communications Earth & Environment.
The research investigates how electric bicycles (e-bikes) contribute to urban climate resilience by enabling users to adapt to extreme heat. By employing a mediation analysis framework, we quantify the extent to which e-bikes mitigate the negative impacts of high temperatures on urban mobility compared to conventional cycling.
Code & Methodology
The provided code (primarily Python scripts) allows users to:
- Mediation Analysis: Execute the mediation model to identify the direct and indirect effects of heat on travel behavior.
- Visualization: Generate the main figures and tables presented in the manuscript.
