Decomposing the role of carbon dioxide removal in U.S. net-zero policy portfolios
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the data and code used to examine the drivers of carbon dioxide removal (CDR) deployment across U.S. net-zero pathways. Classification and regression trees (CART) and decomposition analysis are used to identify the factors driving deployment of direct air capture (DAC), bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS), and land use, land-use change, and forestry (LULUCF) across 16 energy-economic models. The repository includes the processed scenario data used for CART classification and decomposition analysis, as well as the Python scripts to reproduce the classification trees, growth rate analysis, and decomposition figures referenced in the paper. The underlying model scenario data are from the EMF 37 study on deep decarbonization and high electrification in North America (https://catalog.data.gov/dataset/emf37-raw-data-usamxcan).
