Improvements in diarrheal disease prevalence with point-of-use water filter implementation in the informal settlement of Kibera, Kenya

These data supplement a longitudinal water quality study that analyzed drinking water sources in connection with surveys of health and well-being of residents throughout select villages in the urban, informal settlement of Kibera. As part of the water quality characterization of each source, 16S rRNA sequencing was used to identify bacteria present.
